Pacific Gateway Insurance Agency (PGIA), a managing general agency, is able to provide the resources of a large insurance company with the personal touch of a small agency. PGIA operates in the far western and southwestern states primarily writing business in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Oregon. We have an immediate opening for a commercial auto Underwriting Specialist in our Valencia, CA office. This position identifies risks, rates, and determines policy terms and conditions in accordance with Company guidelines; provides premium indications to producers; binds coverage; issues policies; processes changes to the accounts; and provides renewal quotes and instructions.

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience


• Knowledge of basic math and PC software


• Excellent written communication and customer services skills

• *Requires having or obtaining a property & casualty broker's license in the State of California
