Job Description:

Job Summary and Scope: 
    This role provides Quality leadership within the facility. As an integral member of the Plant Leadership Team, this employee will support and advise site management with quality aspects of the facility.  This employee will also be responsible for eliminating, preventing, and/or reducing the occurrences of quality issues in the workplace. 

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform Quality Checks for all lines as indicated in procedures and as requested by    management in a timely manner.  
• Enter data of Quality Checks into Datalyzar (SPC program) after each set is completed.
• Communication with Shift Supervisor/Line Technicians on all quality related findings.
• Gain knowledge of production processes to be able to assist in root cause, corrective action and improvements.
• Monitor and collect continuous improvement information. 
• Time Management Skills shall be applied to fulfill daily job duties.
• Monitor progress towards quality objectives. 
• Perform sample evaluations on customer returns/complaints in a timely manner 
• Perform sample evaluations on competitor’s product in a timely manner.
• Ability to write reports, present information and answer questions concerning quality       
• Monitor and quantify RMA’s due to Quality.
• Assist in testing for Process Engineer when requested.
• Monitor and test Customer Seal efficiency program.
• Repackage and sort returned goods.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.
• Ability to communicate with employees and other business contacts in courteous   professional manner.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manger demands.
• Keep work area clean which includes office space, hold area and counter space for evaluations.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:


  • Associates Degree or higher preferred, and/or 2-3 years’ quality experience. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to create spreadsheets, and promote a team environment.

  • Strong mathematical, writing and analytical skills.

  • Six Sigma (Green Belt) a plus

  • Ability to read and use a wide range of measurement equipment such as micrometers,

  • calipers, tensile testers, rulers, torque wrenches, hardness testers, gauge blocks, laptop / Computer

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:


  • Primary quality department but frequently exposed to light manufacturing conditions and extreme temperatures.

  • Steel toed boots, hard hat, safety eye-wear and earplugs. 

  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs. frequently.
