Position Overview

This position is responsible for sampling, inspecting and ensuring the quality of raw materials, production processes and finished products.  

Key Responsibilities


  • Regularly sample and inspect the quality of all inbound materials received, blends and operations to ensure that the size, density, condition, and analysis of finished products comply with quality standards and state and federal requirements.

  • Accurately complete data records and report observations concerning ingredients process, product quality, personnel safety and environmental quality.

  • Perform production line audits a minimum one time per shift. This audit will include package line inspections of package seals, weigh, appearance and lot code accuracy.

  • Assist regulatory agencies during facility audits




What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Intermediate skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational process

  • Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise

  • Works within standard operation procedures and/or scientific methods

  • Works with a moderate degree of supervision

Minimum Qualifications & Skills


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate's Degree preferred

  • 1-3 years' relevant experience required

Physical Requirements and Working Environment


  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces


  • Previous Quality experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency within various computer systems

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous lab experience a plus
