Job Summary

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant or yard by performing the following duties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials.
• Loads truck for Truck Driver.
• Operates industrial truck or overhead crane to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Other Skills/Abilities

• Ability to operate handling equipment including forklift, crane, etc.
• Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
