Material Handler

Location: Florence, SC (29501)

4+ Month Contract

Job Description:

- Transport, load, unload and store a variety of material, parts and components needed for production

- Partner with and support Operation to ensure JIT is practiced

- Maintain production flow and attain TAKT time

- Take physical inventory to monitor, maintain and replenish inventory levels in the area

- Retrieve stock and parts from receiving and kitting areas

- Initiate and document problems and bottle necks to help solve continuous flow delays

- Ability to obtain and retain a valid PIV license, inspect and maintain PIV equipment before use

- Actively participate in daily housekeeping

- Utilize the ACE 5S principles to promote continuous improvement

- Follow all EH&S and quality policies and procedures , including PIV Cardinal Rules

- Attend daily tool box meetings

- Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Warehouse or production experience

- Operation Monitoring & Control - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly including controlling operations of equipment or systems.

- Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
