Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®, a CRH company, is the leading supplier of products specified to close the building envelope. They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.

The Technical Services Manager will be part of a corporate Technical Services team responsible for providing technical support to the largest organization of glass and aluminum fabricators in North America.  They will be working with sales, customer services, production, QC, R&D and management on a wide variety of interesting projects and topics.  

The position is based in Moorestown, New Jersey, in a suburban setting in southern NJ, in close proximity to Philadelphia, New York City, Washington DC, and the Jersey shore.  Relocation is available for the right candidate.  Job duties include:

• Provide technical assistance and problem solving for internal and external stakeholders.


• Perform technical calculations and run technical software programs.


• Review project drawings, specifications and glazing details.


• Provide training to sales, customer service, QC and production. 

• Assist with plant and jobsite product quality issues.


• Support plant insulating glass, tempered and laminated certification programs. 

• Perform IG unit and component testing and analysis on production and field units.


• Participate in product failure cause analysis.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science or related field preferred


• Experience in the glass, glazing, sealant or construction industry.


• Experience with LEED, architectural drawings and specifications.


• Be willing to travel throughout N. America on an as-needed basis, up to 25% of the time.
