SUMMARY

The General Clerk III shall possess knowledge associated with providing Military Personnel service support, be familiar with government policies and procedures and possess good analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:


  • The General Clerk follows clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence. Responsibilities would include filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., desktop PC, fax machine, photocopy machine)

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • None

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prefer an associate's degree from an accredited university
  • Two (2) years of experience, is preferred
  • Shall have the ability to proficiently communicate in the English language
  • May be required to possess a notary and provide notary services

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Candidate shall possess and be able to maintain a Public Trust / NACI background check.
  • Shall have experience work experience; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
  • Must have customer service; proficient written and oral communication skills; all standard office equipment (including printers, copiers, scanners, telephones); comfortable talking on the phone and in person; possess confident and engaging presenting skills (if required to conduct briefings); data input; and preparing and checking standardized reports, memos, correspondence, presentations, and filing.
  • Receives, schedules, and makes proper disposition of telephone calls coming into the office.
  • Typical duties include: assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically); verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting complaints.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Work will be performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
  • May require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 lbs.
