Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Finishing Crew Leader based in North Kansas City, MO. 

Must be able to work a 12 Hour rotating shift either 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.

Job Duties: 

Assist machine operator by doing required quality checks and ensuring smooth bottle handling and case packaging operation.

Ensure that case packaging operation runs in a smooth fashion with minimal downtime.

Make boxes to feed into case packing operation.

Clear jams from case packing operation through use of LOTO

Manually pack material into boxes.

Label material coming off production lines.

Be able to lift 35lbs.

Work primarily in a standing position, with bending and twisting.

Visual inspection of material coming off the production line.

Basic Computer knowledge

Finishing Crew Leaders are required to interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.


• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.


• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.


• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.


• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.


• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.


• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.


• Must be qualified or become qualified as a Y-20 - Blown Plastics Attendant.  A. Selector-Packer; B. Miscellaneous Machine Attendant; C. Carton assembler; D. Offbearer.
