This position reports to the Rehab Manager and is responsible for general secretarial and receptionist duties. In addition, this position is responsible for billing and obtaining the verification, authorization, and/or pre-certification (if required) of all Commercial, Auto, and Workman's Compensation insurance in order to initiate Rehab Services, as well as obtaining copies of current Medicare, and Medicaid cards. This position is also responsible for providing assistance to the rehab staff at times. He/she is responsible for delivering and receiving information to and from Kit Carson Health Service District Hospital and the physician clinic. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and emergency programs. Upholds policy and procedures of KCCHSD and PWC, while protecting the mission of the facility.
