POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Essendant Management Services LLC is seeking an Application Developer 3 in Deerfield, IL to implement and support the Sterling Order Management Platform in a high volume integrated system environment; design, develop and maintain applications using the following IBM Sterling Order Management System components: Application Platform, Distributed Order Management, Sourcing Scheduling; create and improve multiple applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Core, MVC, Spring AOP, Spring Security and JMS, MQ queues; integrate enterprise applications with IBM Sterling Order Management System and perform integration testing; write Low Level Detailed technical design documents for Sterling Order Management implementations; support a wide range of technology projects using Sterling Order Management including configurations, software development, installation of patches and upgrades; provide technical leadership for the Order Management application team; conduct design and code reviews of extensions and customizations to ensure overall quality and compliance with the IBM Sterling development framework; participate in the review of solution testing and deployment, including System Test Multi-Platform Integration Test, User Acceptance Test and Performance Test; mentor technical developers in the use of IBM Sterling Order management; perform other duties as assigned. May telecommute up to 100% from any location in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field. 6 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Design, develop and maintain applications using the following IBM Sterling Order Management System components: Application Platform, Distributed Order Management and Sourcing Scheduling (2 yrs); create and improve applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Core, MVC, Spring AOP, Spring Security and JMS, MQ queues (6 yrs); integrate enterprise applications, with IBM Sterling Order Management System and perform integration testing (2 yrs); write Technical design documents for Sterling Order Management implementations (2 yrs).
