If you are a Human Resources Administrative Assistant looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson Automation Solutions has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Aiken South Carolina location, you will act as a customer service advocate addressing and resolving employee, supervisor, management, retiree, and external customer requests for assistance relating to various and diverse ASCO benefits, policies, and forms.
 
AS A HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, YOU WILL:


  • Enter and maintain employee personal and employment data in the human resource information system (HRIS).  Maintain associated personnel files.
  • Prepares new employee files, process invoices and ensure that all are paid in a timely manner Process and maintain hourly and salary performance reviews.
  • Act as a clerical resource to the HR Manager and Senior HR Representative fulfilling general clerical duties.
  • Interact independently with external department managers and staff to resolve HR issues.  Provide administrative assistance to external department managers when requested.
  • Assign security badges (replace of worn or lost). Coordinate the issuance of ITAR badges.
  • Process toolbox communication meeting minutes and post bulletin board notices. 
  • Process and track disciplinary notices and maintain paper and electronic accountability records for each. 
  • Act in an assistant or lead capacity in the scheduling, monitoring, and execution of special projects and functions to include but not limited to fun day, quarterly luncheons, health fairs, employee sales, fund raisers, service awards, job bids, excess material sales, and community involvement activities. Coordinate and interact with external vendors to facilitate employee and company purchases and/or services.
  • Manage assigned tasks in support of AAP, Wage and Salary Planning, EEO, Veteran Affairs, and other diverse HR related reporting and planning processes.
  • In general, the employee will be assigned various and diverse tasks and responsibilities to support the efficiency and effectiveness of all HR operations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERINCE & SKILLS


  • Excellent organizational, people skills, and adept communication skills both orally and in writing are equally necessary
  • Tasks will be assigned by the HR Manager and Senior HR Representative. Independently plan, schedule, prioritize, and organize assigned tasks. 
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Computer skills including proficiencies in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Acts with the utmost integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and positive attitude.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Associates degree and a minimum of 2 years of clerical experience.
  • Excited to plan employee programs 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of HR experience preferred 
  • 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and American’s with Disabilities Act preferred.
  • Strong manufacturing experience with industry knowledge preferred.
