The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, climbing wall, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.

Climbing Wall staff is responsible for providing education and training on different climbing techniques, belaying participants, and assuring safe and secure operating procedures.

Starting Wage:
$8.93 - $11.16, DOE

Key Qualifications:
Climbing experience is not required. Must be at least 16 years old. Must have current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire. Must become YMCA belay certified. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, and professional and articulate when dealing with others.

Physical Requirements:
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. Position may require bending, leaning and kneeling. Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50lbs.

Schedule Requirements:
This is a part time position at approximately 10-15 hours per week. Current schedule is Tuesday/Thursday 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am - 12:00pm Applicants must be able to attend meetings and training which may fall outside of regular hours. Ideally, candidates will have flexible availability to accommodate rock wall rentals, birthday parties, and holidays.
