The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The person hired for this position will be responsible for supporting business tools by collaborating with teams working with PLM/PDM systems, MCAD/ECAD tools, change workflows, and product documentation.  Additionally, this role requires an in-depth understanding of discrete manufacturing business process, engineering product definition, Bill of Material (BOM) configuration management, and change control business systems.
 

As a Sr. PLM/CAD Architect, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Leading the global migration and implementation of Windchill to ENOVIA.

  • Leading, supporting, administrating, managing, and providing training of global ENOVIA/PLM, Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and IsoDraw.

  • Leading the enhancements, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of CAD/PDM/PLM/PTC systems
    • Level I support across all engineering applications


  • Designing and implementing infrastructure within ENOVIA for optimal daily business performance, including expert knowledge of PDM vault configuration and data management.

  • Interfacing with key internal customers to accurately process changes and structure new products.

  • Supporting SAP deployment and identify critical connections to ENOVIA.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Five (5) combined years’ experience in product development, change management and/or engineering information systems in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution

  • Previous experience with various software and business systems such as:

    • ECR/ECO workflows (Windchill, ENOVIA)

    • Product Data Management (Windchill, ENOVIA)

    • CAD Administration (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, IsoDraw)

    • ERP software (QAD, SAP a plus)

    • HTML, PHP, and SQL applications

    • Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio



  • Previous experience with data migration, including import, export, and data mapping

  • Experience with ISO audits, trade compliance, and regulatory certification processes

  • Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp technical issues/concepts

  • Experience working in a geographically diverse development organization with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Ability to effectively lead/facilitate teams

Travel:  May include up to 10% domestic
