Institutional Research Analyst

Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the position of Institutional Research Analyst, based out of our Scottsbluff, Nebraska Campus.

Responsibilities :

As part of the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research, and reporting to the Executive Director of Assessment and Institutional Research, the Institutional Research Analyst gathers, manages, analyzes, interprets, and presents data to support strategic planning and effectiveness work conducted at the College. The Institutional Research Analyst insures compliance with mandatory institutional reporting to state and federal agencies and is a primary resource for WNCC internal data requests and ad hoc reports.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited higher education institution in higher education, social research, data science, or a related field and two (2) years of professional-level experience in data analysis and reporting. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above. Master's Degree in research-related field is desirable.

Experience in utilizing computer applications and database software in query building, data extraction and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel's pivot tables, graphs, charts, and macros. Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects to insure deadlines are met. Proficiency with ERP/student information system Ellucian/Colleague, SQL, programming ability, and research software (SPSS, STATA, SAS, R or N-VIVO) is desired. Working experience in institutional research or higher education research setting is a plus. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC's vehicle insurance.
