Job Description

The Scrum Master (SM) is a unique role for a self-motivated servant leader. They are listeners and communicators whose strengths are to facilitate team members coordinating, cooperating, and communicating through the teaching and coaching agile practices. They are a facilitator to a self-managing team in achieving delivery goals.

We are looking for a highly motivated Scrum Master to join our fast-growing digital team at Solar Turbines. You will be a fully engaged partner to the success of a product. The Scrum Master will utilize technical, organizational, and communication skills to enhance collaboration and remove impediments ensuring the team is able to deliver the highest quality product. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Development Team and Product Owner, to ensure al targets and requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team ceremonies: Scrum Sprint Planning, Grooming, Sprint Demo, and Retrospective


• Dynamically facilitate conflict resolution by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect


• Help a team/individual clarify goals and actions to achieve them


• Estimate and plan software development projects in a variety of tools


• Ensure team is incorporating feedback from customers, end users, and key stakeholders to continually increase value for our customers


• Ability to shield a team from outside distraction/interference


• Ability to track and remove impediments


• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure a standard in the center of practice

• Scrum certification (CSM, PSM or similar)
• Experience working with industrial software development
• Strength in guiding the team towards self-organization to fill in intentional gaps in the Agile/Scrum framework
• Multi-disciplined individual with familiarity in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to modern web development, content management systems, mobile application development, user experience, and responsive design
