Job Description:

Twin Oaks Golf Course, a JC Golf property, has an exciting opportunity for a reliable, safety-minded Equipment Transporter/Greenskeeper with strong attention to detail. This role will be responsible for transporting golf equipment to various area locations and maintaining optimal condition and appearance of golf course turf and planter areas. This role will begin as a temporary assignment for transporting equipment, then move into a Greenskeeper role after about 6 months.

HIGHLIGHTS OF WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

Equipment Transporter 

• Satisfactorily complete as directed the safe transport of golf equipment to designated locations. 

• Maintain a clean driving record free and clear of any incidents of reckless driving, or excessive speeding citations and to provide, upon request, but no less than annually a current DMV pull notice to the Director of Golf Operations. 

• Maintain as directed the professional appearance and operating condition of company truck and trailer.

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety or work vehicles at all times. 

Greenskeeper/Gardener 

• Satisfactorily complete as directed all routine greens maintenance and gardening assignments.

• Maintain as directed the professional appearance and operating condition of greens cups, ball marks, sand traps, cart paths, etc.

• Receive, load, unload and store as directed, materials weighing up to 80 lbs.

• Continuously remove trash and other debris from the golf course in order to maintain the highest possible standards of appearance and safety.

• Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid injury to self and others including the safe operation of all power driven machinery.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid California Drivers License is required

• Current DMV record must be free of any incidents of reckless driving, or excessive speeding citations. 

• Must be able to drive a car with manual transmission

• Must be familiar with San Diego area to pick-up and deliver equipment

• Experienced in the use, maintenance and repair of all relevant tools and equipment.

• Must have working knowledge of planting and fertilization practices. Experience in greens maintenance and gardening preferred.

• Efficient, detail oriented, reliable, safety minded with high quality standards for production and service.
