ABOUT THE JOB
* In Brandon, we specialize in the final step of hydraulic hose and tube production: coupled assembly.
* Our process starts with a partially-finished hose that are produced at other Gates plants, where we then cut them to size and attach the metal coupling.
* A Quality Auditor-Inspector is responsible for auditing manufacturing process compliance to process control plans and work instructions to ensure on-going suitability of our operations in meeting customer quality requirements
* The position will work cross functionally with our operations team to assist in the correction of any nonconformity found
Job Requirements
ABOUT YOU
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
* Three years of manufacturing experience in quality preferred
* Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
* Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
* Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills required
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperatures may vary in accordance with weather conditions and may be extreme. Gates is managed in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requires all employees to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
