The LPN is a member of our Occupational Health Surveillance Team conducting Fit Testing, Tb surveillance and vaccination programs. Schedule varies and includes days, evenings, and weekends as needed during programs. Excellent communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

Performing fit testing in accordance with Occupational Health procedure and competencies for use of N95.
- Performing TB surveillance (QFT/phlebotomy) in accordance with Occupational Health procedure and competencies.
- Administering flu vaccination in accordance with Occupational Health procedure and competencies.
- Understanding all state, federal, OSHA, and Joint Commission requirements for fit testing, TB surveillance and flu vaccination.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be a graduate of an approved LPN/Vocational Program.
- Three (3) years of LPN experience is highly desired, preferably in Occupational Health, Ambulatory Clinic or office setting.
- Phlebotomy.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Previous use of Electronic Medical Record System.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Current and valid LPN License in the State of New Jersey.
- American Heart Asssociation BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid NJ Driver's license/car insurance.
