The Project Engineer will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of transmission line and related civil engineering problems involving power lines and substations

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for power delivery projects

* Prepare technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements.

* Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing of knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentoring junior staff.

* Travel to client sites as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

* A BSCE, BSCET, or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.

* A concentration in structural engineering is strongly preferred.

* Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in the civil-structural engineering field is required. Two (2) or more years, of this overall experience, that includes experience in the power delivery field designing substation structures is preferred.

* RISA 3D, LPILE, and MFAD experience is preferred

* Communication skills (written and public speaking)

* Certifications/Licenses:

* California Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration is required.
