Our Aortic, Peripheral & Venous Business Unit in Santa Rosa California is part of Medtronic's Cardiac and Vascular Group ( CVG ) which brings all our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager for our Balloon angioplasty and Drug-Coated Balloon (DCB) angioplasty therapies used to treat Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).

OUR PURPOSE
At our Advanced Engineering & Technical Services (AETS) department in Medtronic, we ensure Operations functional support to the Product Development Core Teams. This position represents Operations on Development projects as a CTOR (Core Team Operations Representative) and provides leadership to an extended project team comprised of individuals from Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Category Management, Sourcing, Contract Manufacturers / OEM, Supplier Quality, and other functions as needed to drive successful development and commercialization of new products.

This position is responsible for the overall operations aspects including value stream selection, planning, execution and successful implementation of activities in the development and introduction of new products. The Program Manager has the responsibility to ensure that the voice of operations is properly captured, and all team commitments and project contract metrics are met and communicated in a timely manner.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

    Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders. Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems. Indirect People Management & Development. Actively Coach & Mentor extended Operations Team.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
    Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have
    Degree in Engineering. Master's | MBA | PhD preferred. Strong manufacturing background in medical devices or regulated environment. PMP Certification helpful. Experience working on Global Teams in Multiple Global Sites. Experience in Manufacturing Transfers. Demonstrated success leading teams/and/or matrix organizations. Strong business acumen and understanding of operations costing (LBM, etc.) Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage complex projects. Highly developed skill set in project leadership practices including ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams, and ownership of responsibility for outcomes. Excellent cross functional influence skills. Valid Passport
