Job Description:

We are looking to on board a Strategic Alliance Logistics Analyst for our North American Imports and Commodities department! This role manages the supply chain functions including, but not limited to, purchase orders, trucking, and delivery of domestic and international shipments…the end to end process! In collaboration with Imports and Commodities team, this role will be responsible for managing orders creation to delivery for poultry products, while serving as the first line of communication with suppliers to maintain awareness of delays and shortages. * The opportunity to manage daily transactions including purchase orders (creation, confirmation, late delivery resolution), shipping orders, trucking, and delivery at a global/international level.

* The opportunity to collaborate with internal departments including, but not limited to, Traffic, divisional logistics and receiving to ensure proper inventory flow into GFS distribution centers.

* Continually seek to identify cost saving opportunities and reduce or eliminate process and system costs.

* Counsels and directs vendors toward continuous improvement in performance.

What do we need from you?

* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.

* Analytical abilities as this role will analyze lead time, safety stock, inbound networks, etc.

* Ability to problem solve and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.

* Results oriented with strong determination to succeed.

* Knowledge of techniques/methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.

* Advance knowledge of spreadsheets; MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLook Up, etc) and Google applications.

Our ideal candidate will have:

* Minimum of 2 yrs previous logistics or supply chain experience. (preferred)

* Experience with supplier communities and the food service industry is ideal.

* Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other Business related field preferred.

* Knowledge of logistics /replenishment applications and software (i.e. JDA, other ERP systems).
