The Benefits Product Advisor will be a resourceful professional responsible for supporting the Regulatory Process within Regulated Markets Division. Responsibilities include:
Surveillance and monitoring of laws impacting Express Scripts and our client's pharmacy benefit
Identification of the areas impacted by applicable laws
Gathering and documenting feedback from impacted Business, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders
Facilitating cross functional discussion around the impact of laws, including identification and documentation of next steps to ensure compliant solutions are put into place
Collaboration with Government Affairs and other stakeholders to coordinate comments on proposed rules and technical guidance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Identifying laws with PBM impact through various channels
Preforming official intake of guidance into a regulatory database
Proficiency in using, providing access, supporting, and maintaining tools and systems that support the regulatory process
Identifying the internal areas impacted by laws and facilitating assignment of guidance review
Ensuring assessments and action plans associated with laws are completed timely and documentation accurately
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and alignment on the impact of laws
Providing notification to Regulated Markets and the broader Health Services organization when needed on impactful guidance
Drafting high level summaries of laws and compiling comments from stakeholders when needed
Fielding and responding to inquiries related to legislation, regulations, and technical guidance
Reviewing regulatory records to ensure all necessary information is documented
Identifying, collaborating, and implementing process improvements when needed to meet compliance and/or stakeholder needs
Supporting Senior Advisor as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or relevant experience
Background in business management or compliance strongly preferred
PBM and/or Regulated Markets experience, Medicare Part D background preferred
Strong PC computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word
Project Management experience preferred
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
Must have a high level of organization and interpersonal skills, flexibility to cope with change, and ability to multitask across a variety of assignments
Self-starter, able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
Maintain a high degree of professionalism in cross-functional relationships and interpersonal interactions
Understanding of the rule making process and ability to perform in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
