Reports to the Manager. Assesses patient nutritional needs and formulates a nutritional plan of care in conjunction with the healthcare team. Provides education for patients, families, co-workers, resident physicians and nursing staff. Actively participates in the quality improvement process.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree; Registration with CDR or eligible, Membership with the ADA, and State Certified in Indiana. No previous experience is required. Clinical Dietitian with nutrition screening, assessment, instruction, and CQI experience is preferred. Must be a Registered Dietitian or complete registration exam from the Commission on Dietetic Registration to become a Registered Dietitian within 6 months of date of hire. Professional organization membership(s) preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Registered Dietitian preferred, but registration-eligible acceptable.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A working knowledge of current nutritional standards.
Working Conditions
Works in a hospital office and patient care environment.
