Short Description

The incumbent will manage a team responsible for the pre-sales processes related to the qualification and management of lead distribution across Avaya's North American sales theater. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of our Public Cloud offers, as well as our related promotions, programs, sales structure and strategies, and partner community and strategy.

In this role the incumbent will manage a team of SDR representatives to qualify New and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) associated with Avaya's Public Cloud offers to the level of a Sales Qualified Lead (SDL). Responsible for coaching reporting employees. Requires proactive personal development to stay current with ever-changing array of SaaS offers available. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. Provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems.

The SDR role will play a critical role in nurturing prospects, positioning products & solutions, and establishing a positive brand impression. The primary responsibility will be to reach out to prospects who have engaged with Avaya marketing assets and inquire as to their readiness and ability to consider and purchase Avaya solutions. Working closely with the marketing, sales and channel organizations, the SDR team will engage directly with customers and prospects to qualify opportunities, promote new products and features and secure leads for the sales organization. Where a customer has been directly engaged during the qualification process, they will also arrange with the aligned Avaya seller an effective transition motion to ensure the highest degree of customer interest and satisfaction with Avaya. They will also ensure that all activities operate at optimum efficiency and that a consistently high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Works closely with senior management as speed is crucial due to the magnitude of Public Cloud business that is needed to be generated, and directly engage in any specialized customer handling required.

Responsibilities

- BANT qualification of marketing leads
- Work primarily with SalesForce.com to update and manage lead flow
- Develop relationships with sales, marketing and the partner community
- Prospecting of company and contact prior to contacting them to engage in a more personalized discussion. Know about their business and industry.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to clients as directed to uncover opportunities to upsell new products or features.
- Call out to event attendees to confirm attendance and post event follow up
- Collect feedback from prospects and clients and make suggestions for messaging and positioning changes that resonate with the market
- Work with marketing and engineers to maintain an active knowledge of Avaya's products, competitors and current promotions/campaigns
- Answer customer's questions regarding products and product delivery
- Prepare reports as needed to support the Sales/Marketing efforts, investment plans, and conversion tracking performance.

Experience
