Job Description:

The Business Intelligence team is responsible for performance optimization, capacity planning, and reporting and analytics, while supporting transformational efforts to uplift internal capabilities around inventory workflow management and reporting. This role will play a dual role supporting this team as a lead analyst, as well as serving as a key member of the Pega Delivery team within I&B to support enrollment and billing transformation.

Under the direction of the Manager of Business Intelligence and Performance, the lead business information analyst provides critical leadership support to their peers, while serving as a technical reporting and automation expert on the Pega Delivery transformation team. This role will have daily oversight over Installation and Billing's report inventory, which includes streamlining and improving report requirements, building analytic capabilities within the team to support business unit reporting needs, as well as establish processes and best practices for data governance and utilization. The role is expected to provide expert level reporting support using a variety of data analysis tools to enable better business intelligence in support of I&B operations and to meet the needs of our diverse stakeholders. With equal enthusiasm, the successful candidate will train, coach, and mentor junior team members to create a robust reporting and analytics team in support of our current and future state data needs.

This role will work closely with other business analysts, I&B leadership, and key stakeholders to understand business requirements for report and data requests, determine the best platform to efficiently solution business needs, develop tools or new solutions, and establish processes and documentation for sustainability.

Primary Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

- Builds interactive dashboards and reports that provide insights that can be easily interpreted and applied by business leaders to help improve their performance

- Analyzes data to identify and troubleshoot data anomalies and discrepancies, such as duplicates and illogical or missing data, in order to maintain data integrity

- Derives insight from patterns and correlations found in business data by utilizing statistical and data-mining techniques. Applies statistical and predictive modeling techniques to maintain decision systems and provides ongoing tracking and monitoring of such systems

- Integrates various disparate data sources across multiple platforms. These sources and tools include, but are not limited to, Salesforce, SAS Developer, SQL Developer, Visual Basics, SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, SharePoint Workflows, Macros Express, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SPSS, Pega Case Management and Reporting, etc. Determines the appropriate software tools or platforms based on the goals of the assignment.

- Ability to quickly prioritize, execute, and drive completion of multiple competing improvement projects, new report builds, and ad hoc requests

- Strong communication and facilitation skills

- Presents effectively to internal and external customers on analytics/reports/presentations that are critical for business continuity and data-driven decision making

- Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations

- Ability to effectively train, mentor, and develop other analysts

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar quantitative field. Master's degree, a plus.

- Experience in a business intelligence or analytics role in an enterprise environment

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a business intelligence or analytics role, working with data warehouses and business intelligence tools

- Experience in leading or mentoring other analysts; experience leading workshops and/or trainings

- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences

- Team-oriented and self-motivated with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude

- Strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to understand and question the data

- Deep analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data results into actionable business insights

- Expertise in data visualization best practices

- Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and partnering with stakeholders at all levels

- Health insurance industry experience a plus
