JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mortgage Branch Manager works on business development initiatives for the Branch through recruiting loan officers and development of marketing plans. The incumbent also manages the day to day operations of the branch as directed by the Market President or his/her manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Solicits residential mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders and developers.
* Grows the branch through development of marketing initiatives for all loan officers.
* Develops loan officers through training in selling techniques, marketing ideas, lead generation and closing mortgages.
* Recruits loan officers for the branch.
* Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.
* Interviews applicants to obtain information concerning their needs to assist in determining whether a loan will be an acceptable risk according to their financial situation and obtains pertinent financial and credit data.
* Ensures the preparation and processing of forms and legal documents required for residential loans and follows the loans to ensure compliance with terms. Negotiates terms and conditions with applicants.
* Stays informed on trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as changing rules and regulations pertaining to both conventional and government-insured mortgages.
* Reviews personnel regularly for efficiencies.
* Preforms day to day planning for branch efficiencies.
* Performs all other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating designated units or certain personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing pay change recommendations; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

* Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
* Microsoft Office suite

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)
* NMLS Certification
