We are looking for a full-time Reliability Technician for our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will be responsible for developing test and/or calibration schedules, performing activities with little direction and diagnosing issues while maintaining accurate records. Other essential functions include: 


  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge and understanding of electronics and/or mechanical theory and applications

  • Mentor level 1 Technicians 

  • Perform intermediate tests and/or calibrations in accordance with plans and procedures 

  • Operate environmental test equipment with pre-defined profiles and programs

  • Operate test equipment to test and troubleshoot products per engineering guidance; Examples include automated test equipment, multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes

  • Develop and review test schedules to determine which requests are ready for execution

  • Conduct prioritization activities and communicate outcomes to the team

  • Develop and perform testing by applying the appropriate level of measurement skills, equipment operation and tool utilization.

  • Apply procedures and diagnose issues as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of test conduct along with the appropriate data, pictures, media, etc

  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records

  • Conduct testing per engineering test procedures


Other responsibilities include:


  • Maintain a high-level attention to detail to insure accuracy

  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates possess an Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology or Vocational Certificate in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or substantially related field or a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology or a substantially related field or a high school diploma or GED with previous Military training OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology.  Other requirements include: 


  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years Quality Technician in a related field of Calibration, EMC, RF, Antenna, Reliability or Electronics 

  • Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (i.e. hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.)

  • Demonstrates strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (i.e. multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to develop test/calibration schedules and operate equipment with little direction

  • Must demonstrate intermediate knowledge and understanding of electronics and/mechanical theory and applications

  • Previous demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office – Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must demonstrate the ability to move work and test equipment to and from work areas

  • Must possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description


Experience with ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949 and previous calibration, reliability or electronics experience is highly preferred!
