Required Related Experience
For Nurse Practitioner applicants, active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ( APRN ) license.
For Physician Assistant applicants, current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA ) certification and active Kentucky Physician Assistant (PA) license.
Employment is contingent upon the University's verification of credentials as required by state law and University policies.

The Infectious Diseases Division is searching for qualified applicants for an Advanced Practice Provider ( APP )/Research position to work specifically in Perry County, Kentucky. The APP /Research position will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team to meet project goals for treatment of hepatitis C. The APP will be responsible for assessing individuals for participation in a research study, evaluate physical health, collect clinical history and study related health data, conduct blood draws, and administer study medications.
The APP should have advanced medical knowledge and experience from an ambulatory setting. Prior experience with hepatitis C is a plus, but is not required as the APP will work closely with infectious diseases physician specialists.
In addition the APP should demonstrate sound clinical judgment, and professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
