Job Description:
As our business continues to evolve, there is a need for a centralized strategic planning function to drive execution of critical enterprise priorities. In partnership with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), this new function will bring a dynamic and collaborative approach to enable transformation efforts across our business. As an internal consulting arm to ELT, the group is designed as a lean and flexible resource model to scale as required. This open structure creates a unique platform to engage emerging leaders in formalized assignments and advisory roles; as well as continue to bring new perspectives in shaping business strategy.

Working as part of this newly formed Strategic Initiatives Office, the Enterprise Change Management Lead will have accountability to evolve and formalize Otsuka's change management capability. In partnership with the Head of HR and Corporate Communications, this role will bring together key stakeholders to align, engage, and enable Otsuka-people to realize transformation vision and objectives.

This role requires a people-centered approach to change management and communications strategy, with experience/expertise facilitating complex business transformation. Individual in role must have an openness to think differently and 'unlearn' - pivoting from traditional change management tactics to innovative, tailored solutions. The individual in role will be challenged to grow in new ways and play a critical role in success of transformation efforts - working closely with business/project leadership to drive alignment, minimize performance disruption, and ensure continued leader/employee engagement. Additionally, they will embed a consistent 'Otsuka' approach to change across the organization to support continued business evolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish strategic approach to change management that is aligned to Otsuka's unique culture
  • Establish and continue to refine simple but effective tools/templates to accelerate change
  • Coach executives, functional leaders, and key stakeholders to build change leadership capabilities and help embed a growth mindset across the organization
  • Partner with HR and Corporate Communications leadership to define clear roles, accountabilities, and commitments for ways of working as a cross-functional team; maintain a strong working partnership
  • Central point to orchestrate change management and communications strategy, planning, and execution across Otsuka, with accountability to:
  • Align leadership on vision and case for change
  • Conduct key stakeholder assessment and engagement plan
  • Establish overall change plan, with tailored tactics/messaging by stakeholder groups
  • Support development of enterprise communications and talking points
  • Define and monitor KPIs/metrics to assess change adoption

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 5 years of organization development and change management experience (in-house or management/strategy consulting), with demonstrated experience in successfully establishing a change management approach and driving organizational transformation efforts
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required.
