Position Description

Position Overview:

This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of office support functions related to fuel and shop/equipment reporting.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Fuel Specialist
  • Responsible for booking fuel usage and hour/odometer readings throughout Staker Parson Materials and Construction and other companies within the West division.
  • Other fuel related functions are fuel inventory management, monthly fuel reconciliation, and annual fuel reconciliation.
  • Comply with Sarbanes -Oxley account control standards.
  • Will be working with fuel purchasing agents, equipment managers, and shop mangers throughout the company.
  • Fuel database maintenance management for 39 automated fuel locations.
  • Manual fuel tracking for 12 fuel locations.
  • Assist in fuel procurement process as needed.


Shop/Equipment Assistant -
  • Assist with West Division Equipment Performance program.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Requirements
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Inventory management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Viewpoint accounting software helpful
  • Basic Finance

  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
