This position is a perfect learning opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the ever expanding and exciting Information Security field including cyber security. To be successful in this position, individual should be able to:
Help safeguard company information assets by supporting daily vulnerability assessment, threat assessment, mitigation and reporting activities.
Conduct research pertaining to the latest security vulnerabilities, threats and the latest technological advances in combating unauthorized access to information.
Assist with updating guidelines, standards, procedures and other technical documentation.
Follow established security exception processes to ensure all deviations from established standards are documented appropriately.
Perform periodic reviews of security hardening guidelines and assist in the creation of new technical guidelines when new technologies are introduced.
Review and assess technology infrastructures to identify key risk areas and ensure adequate levels of control are in place to address those risks.
Assist incident responders in the steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidents.
Support administration of security infrastructure servers and tools.
Assist with other Information Security including Security Operations Center (SOC) and training tasks as assigned.
Can quickly identify if reported issues are security related.
Commute to work in the Atlanta, GA office without relocation assistance.
Job Requirements Education/Experience:
Actively enrolled in a Graduate or Undergraduate program in any of the following disciplines: Information Security (preferred), Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other security-related technical disciplines from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher.
Minimum level accepted: Junior
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours).
