Job Description:
The HQ Reporting & Field Analytics Manager-Leader position is the business facing lead for reoccurring brand reporting capabilities and ad-hoc analytics for support of both brand (HQ) and Field analytics requests. This position is aligned to responsibilities support the US Oncology business across our 5 Franchises comprising multiple products and indications. In this highly collaborative role, the ideal candidate will have 3 key customer groups outside of Sales Force Operations (SFO) including Brand teams, Insights and Analytics and Field Analytics Leads. S/he will lead the HQ Reporting & Field Analytics business management with these teams supporting the output (analytics/visualization and delivery) via automated, self-service and/or ad-hoc capabilities. S/he will successfully combine oncology acumen, data (in place and emerging) and business objectives to deliver innovative and timely business intelligence capabilities for/with their customers.

This role will also work across Sales Force Operations functions (primarily with the Data Management team) driving innovation, accuracy and efficiency while supporting both current and new analytical capabilities via data, technology and process. These capabilities will support HQ, Marketing, and field efforts across the US Oncology Portfolio. This role reports to the Reporting & Analytics Operations Lead/Director and integrates with several cross-functional teams. Peers to this role are the US Field Reporting Leader and US Above Brand Analytics Leaders(s). Cross-functionally, the Data Management team will manage the data operations that enable the data structures for HQ reporting and Field analytics.

Core Responsibilities
  • Business relationship management of key stakeholders of automated brand deck, insights users and field analytics leads
  • Business reporting operations and delivery through timely and accurate output (reports, analytics, ad-hoc) - including support with key customers.
  • Portfolio management of capabilities aligned to customer groups above aligned to current, changing and future state business objectives.
  • Assemble facts and insight to tell a cohesive story that clearly communicates a project request, enhancement request and/or current data (ability to simplify the complex)
  • Lead analytics enhancement capabilities within role function while also partnering with the team Lead on Business Intelligence/BI strategy and roadmap.
  • Makes and act on decisions quickly and effectively while fostering the same in others. This is based on an underlying courage to enable smart risk-taking for the business and value on time to market (business request through to visualization/output)
  • Actively creates and promotes cross-boundary collaboration with the aim of achieving enhanced business results and organizational growth (acumen, capability, experience, exposure, innovation).
  • Application of feedback from business users to further enhance capabilities and correct and reporting issues with business, data management and technical owners of AZ data platforms to improve business intelligence capability output (visualization/reporting/analytics/extracts)
  • Partner to deliver Optimization of cloud-based environments to improve capability performance ease of use and accessibility.
  • Practical deployment and training for self-serve BI tools for insight analytics teams/end users
  • Development of automated reporting solutions integrating BI tools (Qlik, N-Printing, Microstrategy) or other end to end cyclical report generation, new reoccurring analytics an dad-hoc analytics

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
  • Business Relationship Management experience (from either the business, operations or technology)
  • Experience implementing business intelligence platforms via a business, operations or technology role
  • BI experience/hands-on skills to develop reports, charting, and dashboards
  • Specialty Care business acumen and experience with related data sets
  • Data quality management experience as well as data set cleansing expertise applied to large data sets (patient level data, sales data, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate, communicate, collaborate and integrate data sets into a structured environment with adherence to data model best practice in order to support a multi-product, multi-indication data warehouse environment that supports multiple Business Intelligence users and functions.
  • Ability to deliver high quality results while working on multiple projects at the same time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree in technical, life-sciences, or business field
  • Development of automated reporting solutions integrating BI tools (Qlik, N-Printing, Microstrategy) or other end to end cyclical report generation, new reoccurring analytics an dad-hoc analytics
  • Advanced US data source knowledge: Claims, Syndicated sales, EMR, and other aggregated data
  • Pharma based data, insight and/or market research experience in Oncology
  • Working knowledge of oral and infused Oncology treatments and applicable tumor types
  • Working knowledge of US data sources relative to the application of diagnostic, procedural, and prescribing data in oncology
  • Understanding of the distribution channels and product flow for oncology medications
  • Agile deployment experience and application
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based environments and processes (Redshift, Hive, Spark, Airflow, Glue) to improve efficiency and downstream consumption
