We are looking to add new talent to our growing Sediment Services team!We are currently seeking a Sediment Engineering TechnicalSpecialist to work in a technical support role with highly skilledprofessionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This isan excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involvedin a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This isa full-time or part-time position located in our Rochester,NY, Oakland, CA, or Cleveland, OH offices. Remote/virtual locationscan also be accommodated.


The successful candidate will:

  • Prepare technically accurate Sediment Remediation Engineering documents (e.g., Feasibility Study Reports, Remedial Action Work Plans, Design Development Reports) as independently as possible, while adhering to project scopes and budgets.

  • Supervise diverse project teams and provide meaningful technical guidance and mentoring to lower level staff.

  • Conduct routine engineering analysis using approved procedures appropriate for their discipline.

  • Perform field investigations and construction monitoring, working directly with subcontractors and constructors.

  • Reduce, analyze, manage and report field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data.

  • Contribute to proposals and cost estimates.

  • Prepare reports and other client deliverables.

  • Oversee the safe execution of all phases of projects to meet the client's objectives as well as company goals for revenue generation and profitability.


  • B.S. degree in engineering (civil, environmental, geotechnical) or related discipline (8 years' experience) required; M.S. degree is a plus

  • P.E. required; otherwise-qualified candidates without a P.E. are expected to pursue licensing within their primary state(s) of practice

  • Experience in sediment remediation engineering and design required

  • Investigation, remediation, and/or construction monitoring experience for sediment sites required; experience in multiple states and/or US EPA Regions a plus

  • Experience in relevant design programs, e.g., CapSIM, AutoCAD, Civil3D
