The FP&A Manager - Ice Cream will be responsible for North Brands (Friendly's, Steve's, and Deans Country Fresh) and leads the forecasting and planning process for the Branded Ice Cream Business. The Finance Manager reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for executing the objectives of the Finance Director and the Branded Ice Cream Management Team. This role can be located in Wilbraham, MA or Dallas, TX.
Job Description & Requirements
The FP&A Manager II, Corporate Finance will own planning, forecasting, and variance analysis of DF Corp and FDD H.O. G&A totaling ~$250MM. This role will work closely with non-finance EVPs in preparing budgets, analyzing spend, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. This role will partner closely with IT leadership team and own the financial analysis of all IT initiatives from inception to approval to execution and post audit. Lastly, this role will support capital management and budgeting, data and project analysis, and report and policy development.
Serves as the Finance partner with the non-finance EVPs, bringing a forward-looking focus to analysis and planning.
Own G&A Planning and Forecasting Process including Templates and working with ELT Budget Owners to develop Plan and Forecast.
Develop data driven fact-based decision making by providing key insights, risks and opportunities to support the business.
Supports the monthly close process; collaborates and supports the Accounting team as needed; if needed, escalates accounting concerns to leadership.
Design and deliver the monthly financial reporting package that can be used to socialize overall results with Function Leadership and ELT.
On key IT initiatives, lead the gathering of costs and benefits and conducting financial analysis including ROI and Payback.
Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset by supporting the creation of streamlined tools to perform detailed financial analyses.
Ensures standardization of routine processes per company outline.
Develop and coordinate the annual capital spending plan across all parts of the company.
Drive alignment on capital processes and update the capital policy accordingly.
Develop capital reports to provide accurate and timely updates of actual and forecasted capital spending.
Analyze key capital and network optimization projects and prepare presentations for executive reviews.
Evaluate current capital systems and recommend changes to drive efficiency.
Focus on ensuring adequate shareholder return on invested capital.
Collaborate with business partners on cross-functional teams and ad-hoc projects.
Support the identification of metrics and data that will drive and support better decision making and results.
Contribute to the conversion of those metrics into reports, dashboards, and score cards.

Bachelor's degree in business or a quantitative/technical discipline is required. MBA preferred
7+ years' professional experience.
Strong attention to detail, superior analytical capability, and excellent verbal and written communications.
Experience in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods environment is preferred.
Ability to think strategically and lead development of business vision and priorities
Demonstrated skills in financial modeling, critical reasoning, and process analysis.
Ability to present large amounts of data in an executive-level format
Strong verbal abilities; capable of communicating effective with Vice President and other Senior executives
Ability to utilize financial modeling, critical reasoning, and process analysis.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management, JD Edwards, and Tableau a plus.
Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to function within a multi-system environment.
Ability to work and collaborate within a diverse team environment; strong team player.
Must have the ability to work for extended periods of time to meet deadlines for special projects.
Prefer experience working with capital projects, budgets, and performing cash flow analysis.
Must possess strong prioritization skills; flexibility and ability to multi-task on a daily basis.
Ability to operate independently.
