Five Rivers is seeking a General Manager who will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, Program Management, and the development of business opportunities and growth for the Company.
Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to:
Allocating time and resources to initiatives focused on improving employee morale and job satisfaction with the objective of improving retention of employees
Maintaining or enhancing customer satisfaction levels (as measured by CPARs and other quality assurance surveys, including use of company-initiated customer satisfaction inquiries)
Monitoring and reporting the company’s performance against the annual Revenue, Operating Income and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) targets.
Allocating resources, providing technical and management oversight, conducting monthly and quarterly project reviews, and resolving issues at the project, program, operating company and group level in working with the AKIMA leadership.
Support ISO 9001 and CMMI (or other organizational standard) audit and appraisal efforts.
Liaise with the company and program leadership, as well as with employees to communicate company priorities, ensure routine communication of company-level requirements, data calls, and news. Help communicate, implement, and/or monitor progress of corporate initiatives.
Effectively leveraging the Company’s shared services departments and business systems to support operational effectiveness.
Ensure alignment of the initial strategy, delivery, and operations with a repeatable process, and employ company standard tools including artifacts and surveys, to support the AKIMA and group objectives.
Work closely with the AKIMA leadership to accomplish right sizing the task/projects and identification of cost avoidance opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures including safety, quality control, human resources, labor relations, ethics, finance and purchasing, business development, and legal.
Preserving strong beneficial relationships and meeting commitments in all dealings with primes, subcontractors, and teaming partners
Support growth initiatives that maintain or achieve a leading position in each capability pillar and client markets with appropriate technical expertise, understanding of cost/pricing and capability/client expansion strategy
Acting as a role model and creating a positive work environment that fosters ethical behavior, outstanding performance, and commitment to the Company
Other administrative and programmatic duties as required
The successful candidate will possess the following expertise and attributes:
Bachelor's degree. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance & ability to maintain it
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in federal contract, project, and program portfolio management
Experience with programs or projects requiring multi-disciplinary teams supporting technical requirements of high complexity
In-depth understanding of the corporate operations ecosystem and stakeholder activities.
Understanding of the federal and state regulations and compliance requirements (i.e. SCA, CBA, tax laws) relevant to project transition, onboarding, planning, and operations
Experience managing Information Technology, Engineering, or other technical programs
Strong understanding of P&L, financial and contractual compliance in government contracting environment
Strong people / personnel management experience (exceeding 100+ FTEs in geographically disparate locations)
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask and effectively interface with the senior executive team and their staff
Demonstrated experience and understanding of competitive GOVCON business winning processes, integration and partnering of P&L from identification through bid submission and award
Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills
