Job Description:
Overview

Responsible for all aspects of forecasting and planning to support operations planning objectives for both domestic and international operations. Oversee the functions of forecasting, demand management, inventory planning, purchase/warehouse order release, transaction execution and expediting to support corporate service level and inventory turn objectives for a product group/s with a cogs of $200M annually. Supervise a support associates consisting of Sr. Buyer/Planner, Buyer/Planner, Planner/Buyer and Expeditors.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop interdependent quarterly sales, demand, inventory and production plans through collaboration with product management, sales, manufacturing & purchasing.

  2. Manage overall master schedule to meet demand and supply objectives. Report exceptions and take corrective action.

  3. Establish, review and maintain PC and VC replenishment planning parameters (order lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock levels).

  4. Monitor and analyze PC and VC performance against inventory and service level targets. Report exceptions and take corrective action.

  5. Lead, analyze and report monthly Sales & Operational Planning meetings with internal and external suppliers.

  6. Accountable for Operation Planning activities and performance. Inclusive of planning, forecasting and supervisory decisions.

  7. Personal development of associates.


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field with a strong analytical background. Knowledge of business principles and issues. MBA a plus.
  • 8 - 10 years experience in forecasting, production, purchasing, inventory control with demonstrated evidence of process improvement.
  • Experience with manufacturing shop floor planning and execution.
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Advanced data query & manipulation skills. Strong working knowledge of ERP software. Infor SSA ERP software a plus.
