We are looking for a smart, talented, and experienced individual with a track record of identifying and solving strategic problems and driving growth.

As a Manager in the Global Strategic Planning team, you will take unstructured problems and high-profile opportunities, partner with colleagues, leaders and executives from across the company to identify, set the direction for and implement strategic and operational transformations that enable Salesforce to meet its growth and strategic goals. Our team assists our executives across a range of topics including but not limited to international growth, long-term corporate strategy, business planning and operational effectiveness design. The ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a variety of teams and personalities is essential.

Specifically, you will develop strategic perspectives and recommendations across a wide variety of business challenges and opportunities, run fact-based analyses and present to key stakeholders and senior level leaders for buy-in. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to develop project strategies, define business visions, mitigate risk and project manage the execution of recommendations.

You should have a strong spirit of innovation, an inquisitive mindset, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and experience at a top-tier strategy consulting company and/or at a fast-growing technology company in a similar role, and should be comfortable operating in a fast paced, unstructured start-up style, team-oriented organizational structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*

Leads critically important, higher impact, time-sensitive efforts to identify new business strategies and opportunities (e.g., new business models, growth initiatives, etc).
*

Partners with executives in creating strategic initiatives and securing budgets for plans and projects on a wide range of strategic issues
*

Collaborate closely with leadership and teams to deliver significant & measurable impact to our business performance
*

Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations
*

Translate data into meaningful insights and present recommendations to key decision makers
*

A typical project will involve meeting with teams and researching and analyzing data, after which you will present recommendations to leadership and set a schedule for implementing change
*

Develop, research and refine functional concepts, points of view, and problem-solving approaches that can be utilized to help leadership make decisions
*

Capture industry best practices
*

Create business cases, and develop communications to senior executives
*

Collaborate with other areas of Salesforce, including sales, engineering, marketing, finance, employee success (HR)
*

Build capabilities in operational teams to ensure seamless transition of project execution and results

REQUIREMENTS

*

Experience in corporate, business and operational strategy gained at a Top Tier Strategy Consulting Firm
*

6+ years experience in consulting or industry role
*

Experience in the technology sector (preferably working with or at SAAS cloud companies)
*

MBA degree preferred
*

Very strong analytical & problem solving skills essential
*

Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence
*

Ability to create, quantify insights and effectively communicate recommendations to senior executives
*

Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker able to work in the details and click-up a level to grasp the big picture
*

Proven ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams to tight deadlines
*

Strong influencing capabilities combined with self-leadership potential
*

Must be a self-starter, creative, high energy, and comfortable running an initiative in a fast paced tech company
*

A broad understanding of and passion for current technology trends
*

Ability to code in SQL and Python are preferred
