Responsibilities

Summary:

The primary objective of the DC financial analyst is to provide forecasting and analytical support through generating, validating, and enhancing forecast models, analyzing forecast accuracy results, and presenting statistical output to a non-technical audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Custom report generation involving advanced levels of financial/production analysis
  • Compute unit costs, check and clear data for costs associated with company labor, materials, products, inventory, or services
  • Responsible for estimates of expenditures, analysis of records of current & past operations, variance, trends & cost, and forecasting future financial or budgetary position
  • Assist in preparation of budgets, financial forecasts & other established reports
  • Generate and enhance Final Forecast, Forecast Comparison and Forecast Accuracy Scorecard Reporting, to be published and reviewed on a weekly and monthly basis to the end Business users across Supply Chain.
  • Compile complex and large data, conduct exploratory analysis, and analyze results to provide actionable recommendations for Supply Chain ad hoc requests
  • Utilize business knowledge and visual presentation skills to develop and communicate technical findings and/or forecasting solutions to Business Users in an effective forum that allows all parties involved to clearly understand how to leverage insights as it relates to their respective businesses
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software and an advanced knowledge of Excel software that includes the use and creation of pivot tables and vlookups. Intermediate SQL writing. Basic knowledge of Cognos 8 Report Studio. Knowledge in use and development of Access data bases.
