The Senior Training Content Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining the training materials designed for ANSYS customers to rapidly learn, adopt, and expand their use of our simulation technologies. The Senior Training Content Developer position involves working closely with the ACE and BU teams to capture application knowledge and new capabilities as digital assets for consumption by the end-user. This position is a key member of a positive, dynamic team of engineers committed to the development of the training asset repository.
*Independently create and own the introductory training materials for ANSYS Electronics/Electromagnetics product-line with emphasis on High Frequency products (eg ANSYS HFSS and related); be self-sufficient in the creation advanced topics relevant to that assigned product line.
*Prepare realistic asset creation plans for assigned product discipline such that the newly created content drives the renewal rate of subscriptions; plans must consider the voice of the customer and inputs from ACE and respective BU.
*Create multi-media training assets (including videos, audio, quizzes, demonstrations) from which trainees can self-teach; videos may be in the form of a software demonstration with voice narration or voice-over PowerPoint
*Develop new and engaging learning experiences: Evolve and modernize training assets; continuously improve the learning experience; design, develop and maintain content style
*Incorporate the best workflows and newest features of our products in the training curriculum in close collaboration with product development, ACE subject-matter-experts, and our trainers
*Continuously improve and expand the range of training assets in response to customer demand in order to ensure high customer satisfaction, learning effectiveness and subscription renewal rates
*Upload and maintain training content in our online repositories (in particular the ANSYS Learning Hub) in a consistent manner with other assets
*Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on electromagnetic field theory and its application toward RF, microwave, antenna, signal integrity, power integrity and general electromagnetic applications
*A minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering software environment or equivalent experience
*A minimum of 6 years of experience in use of relevant ANSYS software or other commercial software (can be obtained or partially obtained in a university setting)
*Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to implement numerical models to obtain practical engineering solutions to difficult problems
*Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively with customers
*Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
*Experience in delivering technical training or in development of instructional content
*MS or PhD degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
*A minimum 6 years of experience in an engineering software environment preferred
*Experience in ANSYS HFSS and ANSYS Maxwell is strongly preferred
*Experience with the application of the electromagnetic field theory toward motors, transformers and actuators is preferred
*Experience in the use of CAD software is a plus
*Experience with real-world industrial use cases for product discipline is strongly preferred
*Experience with creation of multi-media assets, e.g. video and audio recording, quizzes is preferred
*Passion and drive for personal technical excellence and delivering projects in a highly efficient manner
*Customer service aptitude and maintain customer focus
*Negligible business travel required (less than 5%)
