Ensure Akorn’s supply chain systems and processes operate efficiently to meet Akorn’s customer’s needs. Manage and support Akorn’s inter-related system interfaces and functions and work cross functionally with internal groups to understand present and future supply chain business needs. Resolve and facilitate both short term and long term supply chain system solutions. Primary supply chain partner with IT on ERP/JDE improvement and other strategic project initiatives from a supply chain/operations perspective.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support supply chain systems solutions.
Enable and develop processes and methods to gather data (BI, Power BI and other in-house databases)
Develop and maintain supply chain tools including Power BI reporting, inventory models and supply chain KPI’s
Evaluate improvement processes across the supply chain function
Gather and document business requirements and process flow charts
Work with IT partners on development / prioritization and implementation of supply chain solutions
Ensure end to end systems solutions to meet the needs of the business
Identify root causes to issues and implement testing solutions to fix the problems
Bridge the communication gap between technical and non-technical staff to ensure clear understanding of project objectives, deliverables and expected results
Serve as supply chain subject matter expert for JDE/Excel
Manage/track key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy/bias, schedule adherence/attainment, customer service, backorders, working within the supply chain to develop continuous improvement strategies
Provide appropriate functional employee training on core product and items rules for master data processes and JDE attributes/fields.
Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and ERP system knowledge (preferably JD Edwards); Advanced Excel formula
Bachelors degree or 10+ years of IT experience
Experience in computerized materials requirements planning
Maintain working relationship with production/planning departments and manufacturing sites
Extensive experience in ERP systems with a deep understanding of MRP/master scheduling/ inventory management
Systems training and end user testing experience
Effective oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Excel a must
Able to work in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
Ability to process time sensitive information and orders and meet deadlines
Ability to accurately communicate to co-workers and management.
