As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will be the primary contact for technical requests for new, returning and current clients. You'll be responsible for growth within current clients and new business by preparing technical content for marketing, qualifying leads, and networking.
Ensure the highest win rate when turning new requests into projects.
Manage client expectations and ensure client's testing needs are met.
Prepare and quote opportunities as timely as possible.
Track and follow-up on opportunities and opportunity samples.
Communicate information clearly and correctly, internally and externally, as required to assist clients, document client requests by phone, and email as necessary.
Update and maintain CRM database, email, and client lists.
Responsible for tradeshow preparation with the Sales Group as well as staffing at tradeshows.
Report sales data.
Client interaction specific to a project or a potential opportunity as necessary.
Track requests that are currently outside of our scope to justify new capabilities.
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or other relevant science degree.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a directly relevant position.
Industrial experience is required.
Broad knowledge of the use and characterization of polymeric materials particularly in industrial use.
Great communication skills.
General PC knowledge and competent in Microsoft office.
Experience in a cDMP environment.
