The AE Maker Shop is a highly skilled professional station in stores, offering customers the unique opportunity to customize & personalize their denim. We are looking for a hard-working, innovative, and collaborative tailor to work in American Eagles stores. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to balance workload while being customer facing.
Understand the needs and requirements of the customer, including customizing of our AE Jeans on the sales floor
Support the sales floor team with sales and delivering exceptional customer service, once tailoring duties are complete
Provide sound advice on the product, calculate lead times to ensure the customer's expectations are accurately managed
Take a customer-centric approach in working with our customers, showing enthusiasm for the product and brand
Follow quality control guidelines and garment inspection
Meet or exceed required productivity levels and ensure every request is responded to in a timely manner
Maintain an accurate record of customize completed, utilizing the tools provided
Ensure preventative maintenance of equipment and report any damage or broken equipment immediately
Communicate supply needs to the Management to ensure all supplies are available at all times
Strong knowledge of garment fitting, fabrics, styling, manufacturing techniques, garment construction
Knowledge and ability to complete all alterations needed in store.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
Leverage company tools and technology to confidently provide the customer with product knowledge which will enhance customer engagement and maximize sales.
Promote awareness and growth of the AEO and aerie brands by introducing customers to additional brand channels.
Proactively resolve customer concerns in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind; partner with store leadership team on elevated customer issues.
