Position Overview

The Internal Scheduler will review and approve the weekly TrackIt driver payroll, insuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements, manage hourly vacation balances, as well as schedule and communication driver start times according to production and delivery schedule.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Accurate and timely review and approval of TrackIt payroll.

  • Maintain accurate attendance records for plant hourly employees.

  • Process employee vacation requests and manage vacation schedule and current balances.

  • Confers with LCSR to determine and communicate personnel requirements and start times. 

  • Confirms holiday pay eligibility and enters holiday pay on TrackIt.

  • Monitors daily report of worked hours and ensures compliance with hours of service regulations.

  • Works with Dispatch Manager and Trucking Foremen on issues effecting production and delivery personnel.

  • Tracks and reports performance issues including but not limited to start time, break %, end of day time and lost days.

  • Handles all calls and other forms of communication in a courteous, professional and helpful manner.

  • Assist with other projects as assigned.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Report to the office dressed appropriately according to company policy ready to work at the designated start time.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Must be willing to work off hours, nights, weekends and occasionally holidays when necessary.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools including Excel, Word and Outlook.  Must be able to use the internet effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate basic mathematical skills as well as the ability to interpret and compute basic formulas.

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, appropriate manner.

  • Ability to cope well in stressful environments and communicate professionally.

  • Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; work well in a team as well as independently.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to communicate with others by telephone, electronically and in person.

  • Able to utilize a computer for email communication and preparation of documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.

  • The employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 10lbs.
