Job Description:

Purpose:
To clean and maintain the cleanliness of guestrooms to meet or exceed the Brand Standards and Company standards of cleanliness.
Reports to:
Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor
Scope:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the guestrooms; this includes, trash removal, washing the bathtub, commode , sink, counter, bathroom vent, wash trash cans, front and back of door including handle, light switch, floor and mirror, cleaning the microwave and refrigerator, changing sheets, making beds, clean behind furniture and under cushions, dust and wipe down all furniture, check ironing board cover for cleanliness and make sure the feet are on the ironing board, check walls for splash marks, sweep between bed and nightstands, dust between refrigerator and wall, wipe down all signs, replenishing linen, vacuuming, high and low dusting, replenishing room amenities, clean and dust HVAC filter and entire unit, washing the guestroom interior windows, ensuring the television, lighting, phones, remove water from iron, alarm clocks, hairdryers, heating/air conditioning units are in working order. Blue light self-inspection on bathroom commode and high touch areas. You are responsible for keeping your housekeeping cart, clean, organized and ensure you have the cleaning supplies necessary to complete the cleaning tasks of the day.
Responsibilities:
To have a thorough understanding of the cleaning chemicals, you will be trained utilizing the "P& Gmethod." To consistently clean and maintain the guestroom to meet or exceed Brand Standards and Company Standards following the cleaning cycleTo report any room maintenance concerns, you find immediately to the supervisor and maintenanceTo keep your housekeeping cart organized and cleanTo greet every guest, you encounter with a welcoming smile and greetingTo be in uniform and wear a name tagTo respond to every guest request in a timely, polite and friendly mannerFollow established Lost and Found proceduresFollow established safety protocolsAttend all brand required training, as directed by the housekeeping supervisorTohave a thorough knowledge of bloodborne pathogens, and bed bug identificationTo look out for the hotel's interest at all times; ensuring that hotel services are used by registered guests only, and reporting suspicious activity immediately
To properly clock in and out dailySign your housekeeping board and sign out your housekeeping keyTo ensure the cleaning cycle is completed in the 28.5 minutes allowed per guestroomTo attend and participate in daily team meetingsTo attend and participate in Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year CelebrationsTo have the opportunity to volunteer on community projects that our company supports

Experience:
Capable of working in a fast-paced work environment and perform efficiently under stressful situationsEffective Communication and Listening skillsAbility to work with co-workers through a team processAvailability to work varied shifts, according to the needs of the hotel. This includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Skills:
Housekeeping experience preferredAbility to interpret written procedures and apply in practice.Ability to effectively deliver all required information to superiors, coworkersRequired to attend Brand required Training, as directed by the housekeeping supervisorThe employee will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, bend, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift or move 50 pounds and perform other duties as assigned
