The Business Analyst position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to facilitate and manage requirements of Information Technology projects and enhancements with mentorship from Arthrex Manufacturing Technical Operations Manager. A successful candidate must have experience documenting business processes and suggesting improvements. The position liaises with the technical organization and assists AMI Operations to determine the timelines and costs of specific projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists AMI Solution Management Team to manage portfolio of AMI process improvements and technology projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
Facilitates collaboration with business for documentation of AS IS and To Be Processes, analyze process improvement opportunities.
Elicits, captures, analyzes, refines, articulates and documents business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and documentation
Works with AMI Solution Management Team to develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities primarily operations.
Works with AMI Solution Management Team in efforts to establish scope and business case for new programs and initiatives primarily operations.
Deploys appropriate methodology for the identification and documentation of manufacturing business requirements.
Collaborates with project stakeholders, authors test scripts, plans manages user acceptance testing, and provides functional specifications working with a CoE team.
Identifies technical functionality that aligns with desired new business capabilities.
Identifies opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science or related field. MBA Preferred.
Five years of experience within one business Manufacturing Operations, Packaging, Scheduling, Planning, Component, Finished goods, Sterilization, or Preventive Maintenance with business analysis or business process improvement activity required
Experience in Manufacturing Platforms: SAP ME/MII, SAP PM, SAP WM, SAP PPDS, SAP PP, SAP DTS, SAP MM, SAP QM, Kanban, CAD, or an Enterprise MES system is a plus.
Previous involvement in the optimization of an ERP, Shop Floor integrations, RFID, Continuous Improvement program system is a plus.
Previous position in Medical Devices or Pharma industry a plus
Experience facilitating workshops with business partners business process mapping, value, and prioritization is preferred
Experience utilizing process improvement methodologies such as SIPOC, COPIS, A3, PDCA, Gemba, and others is a plus
Experience managing projects large/small is a plus
Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure a plus
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred
Understanding of Title 21 CFR 820 or ISO 13485 regulations and standards
Understanding of the major functions in a manufacturing organization.
Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
PLC, MT Connect, Modbus, Custom Development a plus
