For this role, we seek an experienced travel industry professional with the ability to operate at a strategic level with our key customers.
Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal to improve the entire customer experience.
Building successful relationships with medium to large size accounts through proactive consultative engagement, market and program research and analysis and thoughtful communications.
Strategizing to optimize adoption to the managed program through travel policy refinement, online booking enhancement, preferred vendor placement and negotiation, while also offering products and services to improve the traveler and travel manager experience.
Developing and maintaining layered client relationships and ensures CRM reflects up-to-date information. Focusing on establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Monitoring client's perceptions and coordinates solutions.
Resolving and tracking client problems. Driving account retention and growth. Developing business intelligence strategies and solutions in line with customer’s goals and objectives.
Preparing and presenting professional Business Reviews. Gaining buy in for recurring consultative sessions where goals of the program are tracked and discussed, monitoring key performance indicators as outlined by the client.
Driving air, hotel, ground, and other creative opportunities for savings. Providing data to illustrate measured success.
Acting as client advocate to internally communicate product and service needs expressed by the client. Drivinge change, be bold.
Developing professional relationships with suppliers.
Other duties as assigned.
College Degree in business or related field
3-4 years proven success in sales or account management.
Superior listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to effectively and comfortably communicate with all levels of management both client facing and internal.
Ability to work well in team and group settings, as well as with support staff.
Demonstrated ability to act in an autonomous role with some management direction or supervision. Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize work.
Demonstrates strong organizational/time management skills, a team-player who can work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility, and problem solving skills.
Capable of making well thought out presentations to clients and account management team.
