HR Business Partner
What can you expect?
As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to multiple Marsh Specialties business leaders, you'll be a trusted advisor, providing advice and guidance to senior business leaders on various HR topics including change management, performance and career management, succession planning and all phases of the employee lifecycle. You'll collaborate with senior leaders throughout the planning and execution of business specific and company-wide projects and have shared ownership in delivering the talent initiatives and tying them back to the business strategy. You'll be part of a four-person team - out of Chicago and Milwaukee. You'll also work with the Centers of Excellence to deliver solutions. The culture is highly collaborative and part of a broader North America and Canada HR Team located across the US and Canada. Success during your first 100 days will include building relationships, learning the business, understanding their priorities with the first order of business being the Year-end process, including, performance reviews, calibration and year- end bonus and compensation planning.

In this role you will be responsible for:
Partner with the business to ensure our talent meets our aspirations (hiring, retention, development, etc.)
Contribute to the talent management strategy to support employee engagement for the business/geography in partnership with the Talent Management Center of Expertise; Assess training needs, guides leaders through talent review and succession planning process, and coach managers on how to be more effective developers of people.
Create, implement, and support competitive attraction/retention strategies for the business/geography in partnership with the Talent Acquisition COE.
Provide expertise to manage employee relations issues for the business/geography in partnership with MMC Employee Relations and Legal
Liaise with the Rewards and HR Systems Center of Expertise to implement performance management processes, salary reviews and year-end processes
Facilitate the change management process through communication by assisting employees in understanding and supporting the organizational changes.
Execute special projects as Project Manager with overall responsibility for meeting timeline milestones and driving projects to completion such as HR Development, Talent Management Reviews, FLSA Project.
Participate in other various HR Practices including hiring, disciplining and firing employees, conducting performance evaluations, career development discussions for team members, approving salary and bonus actions, and ensuring appropriate orientation and on-going education/training.
Participate as an active member of a Market, Regional or Global geography/business leadership group delivering advice and consultation on people-related issues.

Prior HR Business Partner Experience to include Employee Relations, compensation planning and performance management
Ability to provide insights via data
Excellent communication skills and experience managing communication plans
