KMHS is Kitsap’s nonprofit, designated community mental health provider for adults with acute and/or chronic serious mental illnesses, and children with serious emotional disturbances and their families. During 2016, KMHS provided services to more than 6,800 children and adults. To provide on-going supervision of clients in the Madrona Day Treatment Program at KMHS. To participate in all program activities and participate as milieu treatment team member.

To improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission. To provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.


  1. Complete training and orientation as required by agency and specific programs.

  2. Participate in on-line supervision of clients in appropriate KMHS programs and participate in all appropriate program activities.

  3. Assure a safe environment for clients through regular and random safety/security checks and appropriate crisis intervention strategies.

  4. Participate in milieu, individual, and group treatment and accurately chart activities of assigned clients as required at the conclusion of the shift.

  5. Participate in development and implementation of treatment plans as appropriate.

  6. Participate in intakes and discharges as required.

  7. Serve as primary contact person for specified clients.

  8. Complete all necessary paperwork for licensing, documentation, and training requirements in an accurate and timely manner to assure compliance with all agency, statutory, regulatory, and funding requirements.

  9. Transport clients as needed.

  10. In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Support Services Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires: High school diploma or GED; valid WA State Driver License; insured transportation; current Food Handler Permit, ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background investigation and the ability to work a flexible, changing schedule. Relevant education and/or experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger or handle, reach with hands and arms, talk or listen and lift up to 50 pounds. Peripheral vision is also required for this position. A fair degree of flexibility and strength is required in this position due to the infrequent, yet essential, `take downs` on the unit.
