QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services. QSAC pursues this mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills.
The Family Services Scheduler will be an organized and detailed member of the active Family Services department and will be responsible for filling, monitoring and maintaining up-to-date and accurate Community Habilitation and Respite schedules. You will work in a timely fashion and maintain continual contact with families and staff to ensure schedules are up to date, approved and accurate!
Schedule all Community Habilitation (Comm Hab) and Respite staff for all individuals served by Family Services Department
Ensure that open schedules are filled in a timely, appropriate manner
Review service documentation daily to ensure schedules are approved and maintained
Identify missing documentation and follow up for retrieval
Maintain accurate schedules for individuals and employees
Communication, Compliance & Follow- Up
Communicate with Behavior Intervention Specialists to ensure appropriate placement of staff
Maintain ongoing communication with parents, care givers and staff
Maintain individual/family confidentiality
Assist with hiring in-home staff
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies, as well as QSAC specific policies and procedures
Report and problems/concerns to supervisors
Commitment to company values and adherence to policies and procedures
Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals
Will be required to attend 2 –day orientation and any other required organizational & department training's
Qualifications and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Inter-personal, organizational and problem-solving skills are required
Exceptional customer service and follow-up skills are essential
Must be able to work in a detailed and fast-paced environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google docs
Outstanding attendance and punctuality is expected
