Manager, Claim Services
The Manager is responsible for client satisfaction and the quality of the service delivered by their team. The Manager manages the daily workload of the team and resolves day-to-day issues. This individual is responsible for team leadership, motivation, training and mentoring of their team.
-Complete quality audits and evaluation of the services provided to our clients
-Work with other departments to ensure we have needed data to service client
-Participate in the implementation and set up of accounts
-Direct supervisory responsibility over Unemployment Claim Specialists and Leads
-Management of personnel matters: hiring, time approval, reviews, mentoring and training
-Evaluate ongoing staffing requirements
-Work directly to develop key employees within their department
-Evaluation of employee performance
-Monitor and report overtime expenses and manage expense to budget
-Schedule ongoing training for employees
-Mentor and develop Lead Coordinator and employee skills
-Assist in the development and implementation of incentives for employees as it relates to performance, retention and company goals
-Record “out time” as instructed by the Region Manager
-Hands-on dealing with the day to day operation, evaluation of employee performance reports, etc…
-Measure and manage productivity goals and standards (Employee and group performance, discuss directly with the employees)
-Benchmark success of the employees within the group (e.g., win/loss percentage, protest percentage, compliance issues, retention, etc…)
--Lead a team of 10-15 direct reports
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
-Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years customer service related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Previous office experience with an emphasis on customer service, organization of work duties and performing job functions independently
-Experience dealing with dated material and/or strict adherence to deadlines
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
-2-5 years of prior supervisory experience desired
-Demonstrated leadership skills
-Experience coaching and leading teams with five or more members
-Superb analytical skills, problem solving and decision making abilities
-Excellent Customer Service skills
-High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
-Ability to handle a high volume of work and work under deadlines
-High level of organization and multi-tasking abilities and ability to follow policies and procedures
-High level of professionalism
-Must be self motivated and have proven ability to motivate team members
Computer Skills Required:
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office PC applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Ability to type 35 WPM
-Previous experience or familiarity with Unemployment Insurance and the Unemployment Claims process
Physical Requirements or Environmental Factors:
-Office environment with medium to heavy keyboarding, phone contact and use of mouse
